Crash In Pleasant Groves Prompts Warning To Slow Down, Move Over

(Pleasant Grove, UT) — Utah’s first responders are telling drivers to pay more attention when cars and emergency vehicles are pulled over on the side of the highway. The warning comes after a scary multi-vehicle crash on I-15 in Pleasant Grove over the weekend. Pleasant Grove Fire Captain Kyle Hardy says first responders were working a single-car crash in snowy conditions Sunday morning as vehicles continued driving by at full speed. More vehicles wound up crashing as they failed to yield for emergency vehicles and cones set up to divert traffic. With more snow on the way, Hardy urges all Utahns to obey the state’s “move over” law, which calls for drivers to slow down and move over at least one lane for vehicles stopped along the side of the road.
