(Salt Lake City, UT) — The governor is urging Utahns to be safe as warm temperatures start melting the snow in the mountains. Governor Cox received an update on plans to deal with potential flooding from state emergency management officials yesterday. He said there could be some localized flooding due to this week’s warm temperatures but doesn’t expect it to be too bad. He also warned Utahns to be cautious around streams and rivers, saying the fast-moving water could be dangerous for those who get too close.
