Cox Talks About Bipartisanship, Re-Election On “Meet The Press”

(Washington, DC) — Utah Governor Spencer Cox says Americans need to relearn how to disagree with each other. Cox appeared yesterday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and discussed his friendship with New Jersey Democratic Governor Phil Murphy. The Republican governor said he and Murphy disagree passionately on some issues but consider themselves best friends. Cox said an “exhausted majority” is caught between the extremes of the left and the right and he urged political leaders to stop fighting about things that don’t matter to most voters. Cox also pushed aside Murphy’s wish that he would run for the Republican nomination for president. Cox said that he plans to focus on winning re-election in Utah.
