(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox is poised to contend for another term in November. Unofficial results from the primary election showed the incumbent with nearly 57-percent of the vote as of early this morning. His challenger, Phil Lyman, told the Salt Lake Tribune he had no plans of conceding until seeing the votes from more rural areas. Elsewhere, the unofficial results showed Rep. John Curtis on top of the GOP primary to take over Senator Mitt Romney’s seat. Curtis had a comfortable lead over Trump-endorsed Trent Staggs.
