Cox Issues State Of Emergency For Southern Utah Flooding

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox wants to make it easier for southern Utah communities to get help as they recover from severe flooding. The governor issued a state of emergency declaration for Grand, Emery and Wayne counties yesterday. The order allows state agencies to offer aid to the communities affected. Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson and other state leaders visited Moab yesterday and said she was shocked by the size and scope of the weekend flooding. She believes the area will make a full recovery and urged Utahns to show their support by visiting and spending money in the region.
