Cox Holds Ceremonial Bill Signing At Great Salt Lake

(Layton, UT) — Governor Cox is calling attention to measures passed by state lawmakers designed to help preserve and protect the Great Salt Lake. The governor held a ceremonial bill signing yesterday at a wetland preserve near the lake. Cox signed a bill that created an oversight position to guide efforts to preserve the lake. He also signed measures that created a new public awareness campaign to promote water conservation and a special license plate to fund Great Salt Lake protection efforts.
