(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s governor is not a fan of President Biden’s desire for a federal gas tax holiday. Governor Spencer Cox tweeted yesterday that the Biden proposal would only save Americans 18-cents at the gas pump while producing more deficit spending and more inflation. Cox added that the solution to the higher gas prices is producing more oil and gas at home. Utah Senator Mitt Romney also criticized the proposal earlier this week, calling it a gimmick that would be necessary with more domestic oil production and pipelines.
