(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox is calling the Utah Legislature into special session to extend a state of emergency related to spring flooding. The governor announced Friday that he wants state lawmakers to extend the current state of emergency another 30 days. Cox also wants to add more money to a fund to help pay for the cost of responding to flooding around the state. The special session will be held next Monday.
