(Sevier County, UT) — Sevier County officials say the Clear Creek fire that began on Tuesday is now 50-percent contained. The fire is burning in steep, rocky terrain near Fremont State Park, and caused some power outages in the area. While strong winds and dry conditions have been fueling the fire, crews say they’ve stopped the blaze from spreading as of yesterday. Investigators say hot pieces of a brake drum from a vehicle on I-70 sparked the wildfire.
