(Salt Lake City, UT) — The state’s top-ranking federal law enforcement official is making history. Trina Higgins is the first woman to be presidentially appointed as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah. She was sworn in on May 4th and celebrated again during a formal ceremony yesterday in Salt Lake City. Higgins called it an honor and says she’ll work to build confidence in justice institutions, and to protect civil rights along with everyone in the state.
