(Juab County, UT) — A Cedar City man is accused of driving drunk at more than 100 miles per hour with children in the car. Court records say Utah Highway Patrol stopped 40-year-old Jesse Degray Dixon on I-15 in Juab County after a trooper clocked his vehicle at 104 miles per hour in an 80-mile-per-hour zone, pulling him over in Nephi. Troopers say Dixon showed signs of impairment and failed sobriety testing, with a portable breath test indicating alcohol. An adult woman, a 10-year-old, and a four-year-old were in the vehicle. Investigators say Dixon later refused a blood test, even after a warrant was obtained. Records show multiple prior DUI convictions. Dixon is being held without bail at the Juab County Jail.
