CDC Confirms Salt Lake County Monkeypox Cases

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Centers for Disease Control is confirming that two cases of monkeypox have been discovered in Salt Lake County. The county health department reported the cases Monday, saying two people in the same household were having symptoms of the viral disease. The diagnosis was confirmed by the CDC yesterday. The health department says the two people affected are in isolation and that there is no threat to the public.
