Call For Competency Hearing Delays Murder Suspect’s Preliminary Hearing

(Cedar City, UT)  –  The preliminary hearing for the West Valley City man accused of killing a man from Cedar City is being continued.  The continuation is needed after the defense for Mark Mair asked for a competency evaluation in Fifth District Court yesterday.  Mair is facing a first degree murder charge, aggravated burglary and several felony discharge of a firearm charges.  Mair is suspected of killing Justin Hanna in a Cedar City trailer park in July of 2016 before being arrested in Grand Junction, Colorado two-days later.Â
