(Boulder, UT) — A popular recreation site in southern Utah is preparing to close temporarily. The Bureau of Land Management says Calf Creek in Garfield County will be shutting down on Monday for two months. Officials told St. George News the closure is part of an effort to make the experience better for visitors and improve public safety. Calf Creek is located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and is known for its 126-foot waterfall and other features.
