(Ogden, UT) – An eight-year-old boy is dead after falling into the Ogden River. Officials at Primary Children’s Medical Center say Korbin Minchey died Tuesday night after rescuers pulled him from the river in extremely critical condition. Minchey apparently chasing his dog when he fell into the river Tuesday afternoon, and rescue workers say he spent at least 30 minutes in the water before he was found trapped beneath a log. Minchey and his mother lived in the Lantern House homeless shelter in Ogden and shelter officials are raising money to help pay for his funeral.Â
