(Salt Lake City, UT) — About 850 Utah residents are set to receive approximately five-point-eight-million dollars in student loan forgiveness. The Biden administration says this is part of the Saving on a Valuable Education Plan effort. Money coming to Utahns is just a portion of the one-point-two-billion-dollars that is being forgiven for nearly 153,000 borrowers nationwide. The Department of Education says processing of the loan forgiveness is underway. Borrowers should start to see notice of loan relief from their accounts in the coming weeks.
