Bipartisan Lawmakers Group Pushing Steps To Clean Utah’s Air

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bipartisan group of Utah lawmakers is pushing for steps to clean up the state’s air. During a press conference on Wednesday, the Republicans and Democrats who make up the Clean Air Caucus outlined dozens of bills and proposals aimed making Utah’s air better. One bill calls for reducing emission levels, while another would promote cleaner energy through loans. The lineup also includes a resolution to encourage Utah drivers to stop idling their vehicles. One member of the group, Republican Senator Todd Weiler of Woods Cross, is carrying Governor Spencer Cox’s request for 25-point-five million dollars to make public transit free for one year.
