(Salt Lake City, UT) — A bill outlawing conversion therapy for minors in Utah is on its way to the state Senate. The House unanimously passed the measure yesterday after it was amended to exclude language that would still allow talk therapy. LGBTQ group Equality Utah worked with the bill’s sponsor to make sure that language was removed before it went for a vote. The group says they are “grateful” for the work this legislation does and thanked lawmakers for being open on the topic.
