(Salt Lake City, UT) — President Biden is wrapping up his western swing with a stop in Salt Lake City. Governor Spencer Cox, first lady Abby Cox, Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, and Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson greeted Biden yesterday when Air Force One landed at the Air National Guard Base next to Salt Lake International Airport. During his first visit to the state as president, Biden will speak this morning at the Veterans Affairs Health Center on the one-year anniversary of the PACT Act. The legislation he signed last August provides expanded benefits to military veterans sickened by exposure to toxic burn pits military posts worldwide.
