One person is in custody after a barricade situation in Richfield. Around 11:30 a.m. on Mar. 27, Richfield City Police were dispatched for a domestic assault that occurred at 489 East 300 North. According to a press release, “after the initial investigation the suspect was identified and barricaded himself inside the home with a firearm. A search warrant was requested and approved. After a standoff, the suspect was safely taken into custody for suspicion of aggravated assault.”  It was also shared that more information will be released at a later date.
