(Beaver, UT) — A California animal rights activist was found guilty Tuesday of disrupting a Pioneer Day celebration in Beaver. Curtis Vollmer of Berkeley was found guilty of trespassing and disorderly conduct at the event last July. The 36-year-old Vollmer was accused of talking to people and passing out leaflets supporting defendants ahead of the Smithfield Circle Four Farms burglary trial in St. George last October. Those defendants were found not guilty and Vollmer said he will “appeal his conviction.”
