The final defendant in the Leroy and Dorothy Fullwood murder case has been sentenced for her part in the robbery of the couple in late December 2011. Angela Atwood appeared in Sixth District Court in Manti for sentencing on Wednesday where Judge Marvin Bagley followed the sentence recommended in the pre-sentence investigation. Atwood received two prison sentences: 1-15 years for a second degree burglary charge and 0-5 years for a third degree attempted aggravated robbery charge. The sentences will run concurrent with each other, but they will run consecutive to her 30 year sentence in Nevada for kidnapping and shooting a woman while she and Logan McFarland were on the run following the burglary and murders. McFarland pleaded guilty earlier this year to the murders and is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Atwood will be eligible for parole in Nevada in six years, and if she is released at that time, she will be returned to Utah to begin serving her prison sentences. Judge Bagley gave Atwood credit for the 358 days she has served in Utah so far.
