AMBER Alert Canceled, Suspect Arrested In Central Nebraska

(Grand Island, NE) — A Utah boy who was the subject of an AMBER Alert was found safe in Nebraska yesterday. The alert was issued Tuesday for 13-year-old Evan McConney of Layton. Police in Grand Island, Nebraska arrested 26-year-old Tadashi Kojima of Arizona after officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a gas station overnight. Kojima, who is also known as Aaron Zemen and uses several other aliases, met McConney through the Internet. He’s been charged with kidnapping.
