Advocates Are Preparing For Utah Child Care Industry Funding Ending

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Advocates are preparing for the looming crisis of childcare funding ending. Utah’s Office of Child Care is planning to reduce stabilization grants by 75-percent in October. This means child care costs are going to increase by nine percent. Voices of Utah says most child care providers received grants for pandemic relief and it kept the centers open. Officials noted the government needs to offer funding so child care providers can operate as normal.
