3 teens injured in crash at Bonneville Salt Flats

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say three teenage boys were severely injured in a vehicle crash at the Bonneville Salt Flats in northwestern Utah. KUTV-TV reported that the Wendover Police Department said a car was traveling about 100 mph on the flats Tuesday around 10 p.m. when it collided with a raised barrier near Wendover. Police say there was little to no effort to stop the vehicle. Authorities say the 18-year-old driver was severely injured along with two passengers, age 17 and 18. All three teens were transported to the University of Utah hospital by helicopter.
