2nd District GOP Primary Too Close To Call

(St. George, UT) — The 2nd Congressional District Republican primary is still too close to call. Incumbent Celeste Maloy was holding a slim lead over Colby Jenkins as of yesterday evening with roughly 95-percent of ballots counted. Maloy’s advantage was less than a thousand votes at the time. She had received the most support from voters in Salt Lake and Davis counties, but Washington County was putting its weight behind Jenkins. Maloy is running for her first full term after she took over for Chris Stewart following his resignation from the seat last year. Utah’s 2nd District covers a major portion of the state, including St. George and Salt Lake City.
