Just after 6:00 a.m. on Apr. 12, the Monroe Fire Department responded to a call about a structure fire near the corner of 100 South and 100 West in Monroe.
Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis stated that when he arrived “the house had visible smoke rolling out of every opening, but that every occupant of the home was out and safe.
The fire reportedly started in a bedroom in the basement of the home, and the Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
