(Washington County, UT) – A man will spend up to five years behind bars for sexually abusing a teen boy he met at his church. Investigators say 70-year-old Kim Nelson met the 16-year-old at his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward. A judge handed down a harsher than recommended sentence to Nelson on charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor in a Washington County courtroom yesterday. Investigators say Nelson befriended the teen before sexually abusing him and the victim has reportedly tried to take his life multiple times since, according to The Spectrum. Â
