EPHRAIM, Utah-Snow College softball freshman pitcher Halle Carpenter was named the Region 18 pitcher of the week per news released Monday. Carpenter went 2-0 last week, leading the Badgers to  wins over Southern Nevada (18-10) on January 28 and Southern Idaho (7-5) January 30.

Carpenter, a native of Saratoga Springs, Utah and a former Westlake High School star, posted an ERA of 4.038 in eight innings of work.

She surrendered only 11 net hits in the collective wins over the Coyotes and Golden Eagles, respectively.

Carpenter also amassed 10 strikeouts in the circle, limiting opposing batters to a batting average of .282.

Snow is currently 2-2 on the season.

The Badgers return to action February 4-6 at Yuma, Ariz.

While there, Snow will face Arizona Western, Yavapai CC, Central Arizona and Eastern Arizona.
