A number of concerned citizens virtually attended a public hearing held by the Sanpete County Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday, January 13 to accept comments on a draft ordinance dealing with storage containers.  The Planning Commission had been instructed by the Sanpete County Commissioners to draft the ordinance dealing with the use of the containers in the unincorporated areas of Sanpete County.  Only 100 people were able to access the meeting online, and reports indicate many more people wanted to participate but were unable to because of the meeting accessibility limits.  The Planning Commission heard from a number of citizens, all who were opposed to the ordinance.  Following the comment period, the Commission tabled any further work on the ordinance for now.  According to a County representative, the Commission may take it up at a later date, or they may decide not to revisit it.
