(Salt Lake City, UT) – A new cancer center in Salt Lake City is designed to give hope to children and families in Utah and beyond. Officials from the University of Utah and the Huntsman Cancer Institute joined state lawmakers and guests at the opening of the Primary Children’s and Families’ Cancer Research Center yesterday. Jon Huntsman Jr. called the center “a-million-square-feet of pure hope” that brings over two-thousand jobs and 750-million-dollars in business activity to Utah. Researchers plan to focus much of their effort on the 20-percent of child patients who are diagnosed with terminal cancer.Â
