(Salt Lake City, UT) – The Hogle Zoo is mourning the loss of a second bird that took part in the zoo’s “World of Flight” performance. The zoo said yesterday that a macaw named Winston became spooked during the show and flew across Sunnyside Avenue, where it was hit by a car. Zoo officials say the bird had performed in the show for ten years and had never had any problems. In May, a falcon that was part of the show became disoriented and was killed when it landed in the zoo’s wolf enclosure.Â
