Marijuana Will Be Sold In Mesquite

(Mesquite, NV)  –  Southern Utah could soon have legal marijuana sold only 30 miles from its border.  Mesquite city councilman David Ballweg’s resolution to place a moratorium on pot sales, which comes legal to sell on Saturday in Nevada, didn’t get a second to be considered for a vote at their meeting Tuesday.  People spoke both for and against the proposal during the meeting, with some concerned about the smoke in casinos while others worried about harming a medical marijuana business currently operating in Mesquite, according to KSTU-TV.  Nevada voters legalized recreational marijuana last November. Â
