BYU walk-on Masen Wake lost his mom to cancer when he was 8 years old.

He honors her by writing “Mom” on the inside of both cleats and across his arm. He also pounds his heart before pointing to the sky each time he scores.

Last week in Houston, he displayed a touching tribute after his touchdown by lifting his uniform to reveal a shirt that read in bold, blue letters: REST IN HEAVEN MOM. The moment quickly spread on social media.
