BYU Announces Ticket Plans For 2020 Football Season

PROVO, Utah-Per statements from BYU’s Athletics Department Tuesday, football ticket plans for home games at LaVell Edwards Stadium were announced.

Tickets will also transition from seasonal packages to a game-by-game model for the upcoming home schedule.

The individual game-ticket plan calls for approximately 6,000 fans (1,500 apiece in four sections) to attend the home opener September 26 against Troy.

Tickets for that game will go on sale to current season ticket holders September 14 through byutickets.com.

Distribution will be based upon the athletic department’s priority point system and will be available on a limited basis.

The stadium will be evenly divided into its four natural sections, with separate entrance and exit locations for each section.

This game-by-game model allows for the stadium capacity to increase as the season progresses based on available data for covid-19 and the recommendation of state, university and Utah County public health officials.

A percentage of the available tickets for each home game will be set aside for BYU ROC students.

Everyone attending games at LaVell Edwards Stadium in 2020 will have a ticketed seat. Each of these tickets will be delivered digitally. All transactions at the stadium, such as concessions and merchandise, will be cashless.

Masks are required in all areas of BYU’s campus, including LaVell Edwards Stadium. Additional information concerning stadium access and game-day protocols will be provided to individuals purchasing tickets.

BYU currently has eight games on its schedule, including five home games.

These games are against aforementioned Troy, Texas-San Antonio (October 10), Texas State (October 24), Western Kentucky (October 31) and North Alabama (November 21).
