Congressman Chris Stewart in Central Utah

Congressman Chris Stewart met with central Utah citizens and businessmen on Tuesday in Ephraim at a townhall meeting, and then followed up with a session in Salina

At the Ephraim meeting with varied business leaders, Stewart responded on a number of topics.

1- How is Covid 19 affecting business in rural Utah and other current challenges to rural Utah business.

2- PPP loans, supply chain issues and dependence on China

3- Hiring issues mostly related to extra unemployment pay meaning employees feel no  initiative to return to work.

He also addressed the concern about the runaway national debt….. and that eventually consequences will come.

He reiterated that Utah is poised to recover as #1 economy in nation. That is due to the states discipline with its rainy day fund and balanced budget.
