David Lewis Anderson was taken into custody Wednesday in Wilmington, North Carolina. According to the Sevier County Sheriff, Anderson was trying to check into a homeless shelter there.

Anderson was to be sentenced in a case involving the death of his daughter, but failed to make the court appearance on September 5.
