EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (AP) — Authorities in Utah have said a child was critically injured when he was accidentally shot in the back of the head with a BB gun. The Utah County sheriff’s office said the 6-year-old boy and his 12-year-old brother were playing with BB guns at their Eagle Mountain home around 7:45 p.m. when older brother’s gun went off. Sgt. Spencer Cannon said it appears to be an accidental shooting where the pellet bounced off the ground before hitting the younger brother. The child was taken to the hospital by helicopter Monday. His current condition was not immediately available.
