SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, various Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network athletes competed at the 1A-4A girls golf individual championship at the Rose Park Golf Course. The 1-A boys also competed.
1-A Boys
Manila’s Brody Schofield (junior) is the leader at +4 with 76 strokes. Milford’s Zachary Sherwood (senior) is in second (+8, 80 strokes). Valley’s Casey Reck (senior) is in third place (+11, 83 strokes) and Milford’s Rhyder Ambrose (sophomore) is in seventh place (+21, 93 strokes) and Valley’s Bret Goulding (senior) is in ninth place (+45, 117 strokes).
1-A Girls
In the 1-A girls competition, junior McKina Stacey of Rich is the current leader as she is +21 at 95 strokes.
Milford’s Trinity Mayer (junior) and Jaycee Rose (sophomore) and Bethany Stout of Valley (junior) are tied for third place (+26; 100 strokes).
Analise Wiseman of Milford (junior) is in sixth place (+29, 103 strokes) and Valley’s Shayla Spencer (senior)is in eighth place (+38, 112 strokes).
Milford’s Alyssa Barnes (junior) (+48, 122 strokes), Taylor Larsen (junior)(+55, 129 strokes) and Ashlyn Curtis (junior) (+64, 138 strokes) are in 10th, 11th and 12th place, respectively.
2-A Girls
For the 2-A girls, Rowland Hall’s Arden Louchheim (freshman) has the lead at -1 with 73 strokes.
Millard’s Carlee Stephenson (senior) is in third place (+23, 97 strokes) and Beaver’s Jaeley Beaumont (junior) is in fourth place (+24, 98 strokes).
Beaver seniors Tyra Eyre (+25, 99 strokes) and Chasey Eyre (+26, 100 strokes) are in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Their teammate, Emrie Robinson (junior) is in seventh place (+27, 101 strokes).
Millard seniors Sydney Hatch (+32, 106 strokes) and Kaycee Jensen (+34, 108 strokes) are in eighth and ninth place, respectively.
Beaver’s Amelia Harris (junior; +35, 109 strokes) is in 10th place. Her teammate, senior Valerie Harris (+36, 110 strokes) is tied with North Summit junior Fiona Simister for 11th place.
Gunnison Valley’s Bryndee Childs (sophomore; +37, 111 strokes) is in 13th place and Beaver junior Abbigayle Burke (+40, 114 strokes) is in 15th place.
Gunnison Valley junior Brynn Overly (+46, 120 strokes) is in 17th place and Beaver freshman Tawni Eyre (+49, 123 strokes) is in 18th place. Gunnison Valley senior Chayce Christensen (+56, 130 strokes) is in 20th place.
3-A Girls
Morgan freshman Ellie DeMond (+1, 75 strokes) is the 3-A girls leader.
Richfield’s Ellie Hair (senior; +3, 77 strokes), Piper Harris (junior; +7, 81 strokes) and Rebecca Poulsen (sophomore; +9, 83 strokes) are in second through fourth place respectively.
Richfield senior Natasha Oldroyd (+12, 86 strokes) is tied for sixth with Summit Academy freshman Aspen Delis.
Richfield sophomore Gwen Stubbs (+13, 87 strokes) is tied with senior teammate Anna Poulsen, Morgan junior Samantha Preslar and Judge Memorial sophomore Ava Isaac for eighth place.
Richfield junior Brinley Jolley (+20, 94 strokes) and Union senior Ajia Safley are tied for 15th place.
Manti junior Ally Squire (+27, 101 strokes) and Union sophomore Emma Whitmer are tied for 19th place.
North Sanpete freshman Tylee Henrie (+28, 102 strokes) is in 21st place.
Manti senior Nikki Evans (+31, 105 strokes) and her junior teammate, JoLee Gillett, are tied for 24th place.
North Sanpete junior Kaylee Madsen (+32, 106 strokes) is in 27th place and her teammate, sophomore Eryn Briggs (+36, 110 strokes) is tied with Judge Memorial sophomore Isabel Valles for 28th place.
Juab junior Graycie Hansen (+41, 115 strokes) is in 32nd place and Manti freshman Chloie Shumway (+42, 116 strokes) is tied for 33rd place with Emery junior Madisyn Mann.
Manti junior Camien Pritchard (+45, 119 strokes) is in 36th place and her teammate, senior Gracie Keisel, (+47, 121 strokes) is in 37th place.
North Sanpete junior Bryn Lund (+49, 123 strokes) is tied for 38th place with Union junior Reese Nelson. Finally, North Sanpete’s Hope Shelley (+55, 129 strokes) is in 41st place with her teammate, junior Morgan Drew (+58, 132 strokes) is in 42nd place.
