DETROIT-Monday, per various sources, the Detroit Lions officially signed 6th Round draft pick, defensive tackle John Penisini, a former Snow College and University of Utah standout.

This was confirmed by Penisini’s agent, David Carter.

The Lions selected Penisini No. 197 overall in last month’s NFL Draft.

In three seasons at Utah, Penisini amassed 5 sacks, 15 tackles for a loss and 80 tackles. He also added two forced fumbles, two passes defensed and a fumble return.
