A fatal car crash occurred on Apr. 26 in Sevier County on I-70 near milepost 14.

The driver of the vehicle was Tana Maynes, age 35 from Sevier County, and she was fatally injured when she was ejected from the vehicle after it veered off the roadway.

According to Kelly Roberts of the Utah Highway Patrol, Maynes was traveling eastbound on I-70 near milepost 14 when the road curved slightly to the left. The vehicle continued straight off the roadway to the right through the dirt with no indication of braking. The vehicle then impacted a fence and traveled airborn across a ravine.

According to reports Maynes was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
