A rollover crash on interstate 15 near Beaver occurred Apr. 13 around 4:00 p.m. leaving a woman dead and her husband seriously injured.
The Dodge pickup was pulling a small trailer with an ATV on it going northbound near mile marker 105 on I-15 when the crash occurred. According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Preston Holgreen, “from the marks on scene, it looks like there’s a slight turn to the right on the roadway, and the vehicle went off the road to the left as it failed to make the turn, overcorrected back onto the roadway and rolled off the right side.”
CPR was initiated for the woman at the scene, but she was pronounced dead after being transported to the Beaver Valley Hospital. Her husband received serious injuries and was also transported by ambulance to the Beaver Valley Hospital where he is in stable condition.
Holgreen said the reason for the overcorrection is suspected to be fatigue, but the incident is still under investigation. Both the man and the woman were from Idaho and in their mid-80s, their names have not yet been released.
