BYU Men’s Basketball Has Three Earn All-WCC Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif.-Tuesday, BYU men’s basketball seniors, forward Yoeli Childs and guards TJ Haws and Jake Toolson, all earned all-West Coast Conference first team honors. Furthermore, Toolson was named as the newcomer of the year.

Childs led the WCC in points per game in conference games (22.7 points per game) and finished second in rebounding (8.5 per game) in WCC contests.

Haws posted 16 points, 2.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.8 steals in conference games and shot 50.3 percent from the field and 42.3 percent behind the arc in WCC games this season.

Toolson was the best 3-point shooter in the WCC this season, connecting on 50 percent of his shots (46-92) from range.

Overall, Toolson averaged 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season for the Cougars.
