The Cedar City temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officially opens Tuesday.

Church officials were on hand Sunday for three dedication ceremonies for the state-s 17th temple.

Prior to the dedication, hundreds of thousands of people toured the brand new building during their open house in October and November.

The temple opens more than two years after construction began.
