Sanpete County Attorney Brody Keisel has been chosen by Governor Gary Hebert to fill the vacancy on the 6th District Juvenile Court created by the retirement of Judge Paul Lyman. Keisel served previously as a prosecutor in Manti and as deputy Sanpete County Attorney before being elected Sanpete County Attorney in 2010. His appointment to the juvenile court is subject to confirmation by the Utah State Senate.

Keisel received a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska School of Law and is an adjunct professor in criminal law at Snow College.
