Deadline set to get a refund on fraud from Federal Trade Commission

The deadline is approaching for Utah residents who fell victim to Western Union money transfer services scams to get a refund.

Nearly four thousand Utah consumers were affected by the fraudulent money transfers, which happened between January of 2004 and January of 2017.

To get a refund from the Federal Trade Commission, those who lost money need to apply online with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection by February 12th.

Western Union says they’ve received complaints for over four-point-six-million dollars in fraudulent wire transfers.
