(New Harmony, UT) – The eight-year-old boy who plunged into an icy pond in Washington County is now at home.
A Facebook post by the Washington County Sheriff’s deputy who helped save the boy indicates the eight-year-old was released from the hospital over weekend.
He chased his dog onto a frozen pond in New Harmony on Christmas night, forcing the deputy to break the ice with his body in order to save him.
The boy spent more than a half-hour in the water before being rescued.
