(Kane County, UT) — A southern Utah sheriff’s office issues a warning about two phone scams making the rounds.
The Kane County sheriff’s office says they’ve gotten reports of a common scam where someone will call an elderly person, claiming to be a grandchild in need of bail money.
Another scam involves a caller claiming to be from a vehicle warranty company, saying you can pay over the phone to extend it.
The sheriff’s office asks the public to contact them if they get one of these calls.
