Sen. Mitt Romney has big concerns about the national debt and health care pricing.
At a town hall in Richfield Thursday, Romney also addressed questions on education, veterans health care and the coal industry.
On education, Romney said, he thinks education decisions need stay at the local level.
“I’m a firm believer that the decisions being made at the local level are always the best decisions,” Romney said.
When asked about helping veterans dealing with PTSD, Romney said he thinks more options need to be available to receive mental health counseling. Romney said a card that allows veterans more freedom to go outside the V.A. system, might be a good option.
Romney was also asked about the coal industry. Many residents in the area work in local coal mines.
Sen. Romney says he sees humans as a big cause of global warming, but that we should continue using fossil fuels as the technology to make it cleaner continues to advance.
Following a question on whether he would support term limits, Romney said he would.
“I love term limits–I’m limited by my age,” Romney said.
“I do my very best to do what I think is right for my country,” Romney said while concluding the meeting.
Romney was also asked about Charlottesville, possible bullying legislation and homelessness.
