One man sent to hospital in critical condition after crash near Redmond

One man is recovering from serious injuries after crashing near Redmond in Sevier County on Monday.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Troy Carroll received head injuries and was flown to the University of Utah Hospital.

Carroll was traveling South on SR 256 at milepost 3 when his vehicle went off the roadway to the right. He then over corrected back onto the road, but then went off the road to the left and overturned.

Authorities had to extricate Carroll from the vehicle, where he was trapped.
